friends (20K)

Friends make significant gifts such as a public computer, microfilm reader-printer, print production equipment, microphone system, and projectors of all types. They sponsor programs including prominent author appearances, book reviews, exhibits, and National Library Week celebrations. The Friends have also granted scholarships to staff members who wish to improve their skill in serving the readers of our community. The expansion and renovation of the present library building was largely the result of the strong leadership and support of the Friends in the municipal capital improvements referendum. The Friends also raised $62,594 for furnishings for the expanded facility.
