The staff of Sterling Municipal Library believes that quality library services greatly enhance the quality of life in the community. We are therefore committed to delivering efficient, professional, and friendly service to the citizens of Baytown.

Sterling Municipal Library offers a wide range of traditional library services such as the lending of books, DVDs, and magazines; access to public computers and a wireless network; and story hours and programs for children and teens.  In addition, we offer a number of services that may surprise you.

Planning a trip?  Sterling Municipal Library is a passport acceptance agency and can save you time and trouble if you need a passport. Trying to locate a long lost obituary?  A librarian may be able to help you locate it in our microfilm collection. Need to take a distance learning exam?  We offer proctoring services free of charge.    Do you know someone you can no longer make it to the library to borrow materials?  We can connect you with an outreach librarian who delivers books to eligible shut-ins.
