Printing from Laptops

* Does not work in Windows Vista!

1. Connect to the “Library-public” SSID.

2. When printing for the first time using the Library wi-fi, you must download an installation package to install the printers.

3. Download the printer installation package. Each package includes drivers for both color and black and white printers. Download requires 10 – 15 minutes. If you do not wish to download or if you do not have the necessary programs to extract the package, please ask the reference desk for assistance.

4. Extract the zip file and start the installation program.

After installing the package, you may need to restart your computer.

5. When you print a document, you should see the following printers on your printer list:

  • Adult Package: BW Adult Printer and Color Adult Printer
  • Kids Package: BW Kids Printer and Color Kids Printer

6. When you print a document, wait for “Print Job Details” to appear and type the name for your print job. Press print and proceed to the print station.
