The Blue Heron Park Trail is approximately 1.2 miles long as it winds around Blue Heron Park and extends west towards Barkuloo Road. The trail runs along the perimeter of Blue Heron Park for 0.6 miles connecting to Barkuloo Road through an easement and loops back to Blue Heron Parkway. The Blue Heron Park Trail also connects to the Hutto portion of the Goose Creek Trail and Crockett Trail Connection. The Blue Heron Park Trail is accessible from the entrance to Blue Heron Park on Blue Heron Parkway, as well as from the intersection of Blue Heron Parkway and Barkuloo Road. It also connects to the residential subdivision to its immediate south through a neighborhood trailhead. The 0.6-mile section of Blue Heron Park Trail that circles the park offers walking and biking opportunities to Blue Heron Park visitors. The remaining one-half mile section of the trail offers views of a wooded area and residential subdivision, and connects residents of the area to an elementary school to the north of Blue Heron Parkway as well as to the Crockett and Goose Creek Trails to the west of Barkuloo Road.
The Crockett Trail Connection is a 2.2-mile trail connection that runs along the south side of W. Baker Road & Blue Heron Parkway from Goose Creek Trail to Jenkins Park Cary Bayou Trails. The trail follows a commercial corridor and provides safe pedestrian and bike access to several residential subdivisions that flank the corridor.
The Jenkins Park Cary Bayou Trail is a one mile long trail located in the central eastern part of Baytown. It runs through W.L. Jenkins Park and a heavily forested area along the Cary Bayou and connects the Crosby Cedar Bayou Road to the J.C. Hollaway Park. The trail can be accessed through the W.L. Jenkins Park parking lot as well as from the perimeter sidewalks of the park. It crosses the Cedar Bayou to the east of W.L. Jenkins Park into a heavily forested area from where onwards it runs southwards and eastwards towards J.C. Hollaway Park. An approximately onehalf mile section of the Jenkins Cedar Bayou Trail is in the forested area along Cedar Bayou. The Jenkins Cedar Bayou Trail offers recreational opportunities for walking and biking in a natural setting, and connects the residential subdivisions to the east of Cedar Bayou to the sports facilities and recreational amenities, such a dog park, in Jenkins Park. The trailhead at J.C. Hollaway Park has benches and shade trees as well as a parking lot for trail users.
The San Jacinto Trail is a 5.2-mile trail that runs along the San Jacinto, Busch, and Hunt Roads in northcentral Baytown. The San Jacinto Trail provides bicycle and pedestrian connectivity between Interstate 10, West Cedar Bayou Lynchburg Road, and West Baker Road. The trail also extends in the east-west direction along Hunt Road connecting N. Main Street to John Martin Road. Destinations on the San Jacinto Trail include Eddie Huron Park, residential neighborhoods, and commercial centers.
