Business Improvement Grant (BIG)

The Business Improvement Grant (BIG) program is a matching, reimbursement-based grant program that reimburses commercial property owners or business operators for Eligible Improvements made to their Property. Grants available under this program are reimbursable for an amount up to 50 percent of the total expenses for Eligible Improvements, with a maximum reimbursement not to exceed the participation limitations set forth in the program policy and guidelines.

Grant Application

Applications must be submitted online, through the Citizen Self Service (CSS) Online Portal. Applications are due a month prior to the desired MDD Regular Meeting date. The MDD Board meets on the first Thursday of the month.

Pre-Application Conference

You may contact Emilio Levario, Senior Economic Development Analyst, to schedule a Pre-Application Conference to review the program and application requirements prior to submitting an application in the CSS portal. Appointments will be available beginning May 1, 2023.
