Public Improvement Districts - Program

Overview

A Public Improvement District (PID) is a special financing mechanism that allows property owners within a designated area to collectively fund infrastructure improvements and enhanced services that directly benefit their community. In Baytown, PIDs are used to support development, beautification, and quality-of-life enhancements by financing improvements beyond what the City typically provides.

By forming a PID, property owners agree to pay an additional assessment, which is used to fund and maintain public amenities within the district.
