Driver's Crash Reports
Crash reports fall under the Transportation Code and can be requested outside of the Open Records Act. The Texas Department of Public Safety collects crash reports submitted by law enforcement officers. The form is available to the public by following the link below. A processing fee applies.
Texas Peace Officer's Crash Report
The Texas Peace Officer's Crash Report is completed by a law enforcement officer investigating a traffic crash when apparent damage is $1,000 or more, or when the crash resulted in injury or death.
Get the Report from the Baytown Police Department
The Baytown Police Department is located at 3200 N. Main Street and the Records Division lobby hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The fee for motor vehicle crash reports provided from the Baytown Police Department is $6 ($8 if mailed by certified letter). Forms of payment are Cash, Business Check or Money Order.

If you want to pay with a Credit Card, citizens and insurance companies can obtain copies of a motor vehicle crash report investigated by the Baytown Police Department through the Texas Department of Transportation Crash Report Online System.
Additional Information
Please note that there may not be a CR-3 completed for all accidents. In that case, you would need to visit our Open Records Division to request a copy of the complaint only accident report under the Public Information Act.
