The applicant is requesting two actions: 

  1. Voluntary Annexation of the subject property; 
  2. Zoning Map Amendment to the official zoning map to rezone approximately 196.5 acres from Open space/recreation (OR) to General Commercial (GC) zoning district.

Approximately 96.2 acres, generally located north of IH 10 and west of John Martin, legally described as Tracts 1-3 in Abstract 620 of the Talcott Patching Survey, Harris County, Texas, from an Open Space/Recreation (OR) to General Commercial (GC) Zoning District. The annexation subject property is approximately 36.45 acres, located on the western portion of the property.

The applicant has requested to be annexed into Baytown city limits and be zoned General Commercial (GC). As of now the applicant does not have an intended use for the subject property, but intends for commercial development of some kind.
