Background

The applicant proposes rezoning the subject site from Mixed Residential (MR) to General Commercial (GC) to allow for future commercial development.  According to the applicant, oil wells have existed on this approximately 8.71-acre property since the 1970s.  Currently, there is one active well and the remaining wells are capped.
