Arbor Day Tree Giveaway and Park Planting

Arbor Day Tree Giveaway and Park Plantings

Baytown’s annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway distributed more than 1,500 native trees to residents across the community. Volunteers and staff were on hand to help carry trees to vehicles, making the event accessible for all.

In addition to the giveaway, native trees are also being planted in local parks and at the Baytown Nature Center. These trees provide long-term benefits to wildlife, the environment, and the community.

This spring, volunteers assisted with routine maintenance at Eddie Huron Park by replacing mulch around the playground.

This update was part of ongoing efforts to ensure all park playgrounds are well-maintained and clean.

New Sculptures in the Downtown Arts District

New Sculptures in the Downtown Arts District

The Baytown Sculpture Trail has welcomed new artwork in the Downtown Arts District. Parks crews worked to prepare the site and assist with installation of these vibrant pieces.

The trail is free to visit and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite sculpture as part of the ACE District’s 2025 People’s Choice Award.

New Art at Newcastle Park

Newcastle Park has received a colorful new feature with the installation of a decorative sign spelling the park’s name. The addition of this sign, along with a new entry gate and artwork, adds even more visual interest to this neighborhood park and its vibrant playground.

Ongoing Maintenance at Parks Across Baytown

Baytown’s Parks and Recreation teams continue to maintain over 50 parks across the city. From seasonal landscaping to facility upkeep, these daily efforts ensure safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces. Recent projects include replacing damaged boards at the bird overlook at the Baytown Nature Center.
