Bicentennial Park was established in 1976 to commemorate the bicentennial celebration of the country's founding. Located next to Lee College, this park hosts several events throughout the year such as the 4th of July, Juneteenth, and Grito Festival celebrations.
Between holidays and festivals, this park is open to the public with street parking on Market Street. Several paved trails connect the park and a small creek runs along the middle of the space. The grassy open fields are perfect for kite flying, picnics, or a brisk walk in the sun. The Baytown Veterans Memorial Plaza and Baytown Firefighter Memorial are both located within Bicentennial Park. Visitors will also find a gazebo and picnic areas for day use.
