Hyatt Regency Baytown-Houston Hits Major Financial Milestone
The Hyatt Regency Baytown-Houston has reached an important milestone, recording its first million-dollar revenue month in December.
The achievement marks continued momentum for the hotel and convention center. It also reflects growing bookings, repeat business, and strong operational management.
City Manager Jason Reynolds said, “Before the hotel and convention center opened, we were told to expect a ramp up period that would take several years before it would actually make money.”
He added, “Not only is it taking less time than originally expected, but it’s exceeding those expectations. I want to commend Hyatt’s team for their efforts as we continue to welcome people and events to Baytown.”
In addition to the milestone month, the hotel reported a strong first quarter performance. Revenue per available room came in eight percent above budget, expenses are tracking 11 percent below projections.
The progress follows a recently completed clean audit, reinforcing the project’s oversight and management. Financial disclosures related to the hotel are available to the public through bond reporting platforms as part of the City’s ongoing commitment to transparency.
City officials say continued sales growth and repeat bookings are helping build sustainable momentum as more conferences and visitors choose Baytown.
